Hello all,

So white water rafting was awesome. We were on class 5 rapids and went over a 7 meter waterfall. They said it was a complete crap-shoot as to whether or not the boat would flip. We all chanted "What have got? No Chance!" before going over the falls.

We did not flip but 3/4 of our boat went underwater and we got caught up right under the waterfall. We only lost one person in the process and it wasn't Shane or I. We believe that it was our fat asses in the back that kept the boat from flipping. The guide was shocked that we didn't flip.

Anyways, we are currently in Napier (the art-deco capital of NZ). The town was flattened by an earthquake in the 1931 and was completely rebuilt in art deco form. Today we're going wine testing and then on to Wellington.

On a side note I was offered a job in Whakatane hospital, which is funny because that's the exact town my sister lived in when she was here. A big shout out to Michelle, Happy 30th Birthday! hahahahaha... I mean 29.

See you all later,

Ally and Shane

Hi Shally!

Thx for the awesome photos & post. I am sooo jealous! Keep having fun with your adventure. The country looks beautiful & you two look healthy & happy. Is the food different? I am sure the wine is good. (It is raining here)

Love, Trish

Hey Ally and Shane, Boy it all looks gorgeous. Hardly wait to get there.Maybe we wont leave. they can fire me. Maybe a good place to retire. Just want to get into shorts again. Is Whakatane as nice as Mich says it is. What kind of a hospital is it? Pics look great. I am jealous.Cold here but still no snow. Had only 44 kids for Halloween,so lots of candy to finish. Have fun, look after each other. Waiting for your next entry. Love M and D

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Your present actually came on my birthday it was very nice. Hey I love the necklace, when I was there I bought myself one, they say you can't buy one for yourself because of superstition. So naturally I bought one anyway, and it fell off my neck in the snow in stoon about 7years ago and was lost! I love it! Thank you
