well, just a quick update as we only have 15 mins on a computer we have to pay for. We made it after a gruelling 20 hour flight, and I was only approached as a 'sir' instead of a 'madame' twice on the flight. We ended up having an unexpected stop in Samoa for a refuel which tacked on an extra hour. We're in one piece and only missing a lock and a canadian flag.
Auckland is a really cool city and after a short 12 hour sleep we actually feel really good. As typical touristy people the first thing we did was note that the water in the sink does actually turn counter clock-wise. Hope everyone is well, and feel free to write us comments as we want to stay connected to people at home.

Hello from Vancouver!! Soooo glad to hear that your trip went well... have no idea why Ally would be mistaken for a man?? What the hell? I have your dad on the phone Shane, read Ally's blog and asked him for a reply.....HE WAS AT A LOSS FOR WORDS!!! BELIEVE THAT?? Sounds like you had no trouble adjusting to jet lag....must have been a comfortable bed. Soo...what are your impressions of Auckland? Are the people nice? How is the food? Do I sound like a mother? ally and shane my third real message, we saw Auckland on the amazing race tonite. Wow what a beautiful city.The harbour, kiwi 360, Something Hill at the center of the city, etc. just great. Looking forward to to getting their. Mom went to the Fort tonite to see Grandpa and Ma. She writes Wed. She will be glad to be done. Have fun Drive safe and keep us posted. love mom and Dad

Hi you crazy kiwi kids!! A blog is a great idea! Now I get to know what you guys are doing every minute of every day! Yay! I get to live vicariously through you guys! ;) KIDDING! Seriously, SO HAPPY to hear you guys made it ther safe!...especially after I had a dream the other night of watching a plane crash...PHEW! Dodged another one!
